Is there any way to dip corals without killing the inhabitants that live within? I understand the purpose of dipping them is to kill unwanted pests but sometimes there are things you might have wanted to keep. Any ideas?

Well I haven't dipped them in anything yet. But I did hit them REALY good with my turkey baster and swished most of the algae off. That seemed to clean most of it off. The colony's I did are a little peeved right not but the look clean.

Just curious, what would you want to keep? I've had a few feather dusters attached to frags that I've dipped in Coral Rx and they've all survived the dip. I think the benefit of dipping far outweighs the harm.
