My other ones i hand feed! I love it. ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1418620675.871588.jpg and they rub up against my hand lol.

Thats what my discus is going to look like? Now thats exciting!! Getting more red every day!

And no i'm not crazy about it, i just keep my ph constant. I do at least 50% wc every day and my tap is 7.0. I do have big pieces of drift wood in the tank and lower it the slightest bit with kent ph minus, but the waters not in the tank long enough to lower drastically imo. Im more crazy about the temperature.

50% WC a day is amazing. How do you get the time for that?. Try getting your hands on Mark Tan fishes or speciality imports from Brazil.

I need to get the adapter to hook the hose up to the faucet, and then wc will be very easy. I work 9-5 most days, fill a 1/2 tube w water and hold both ends and create the suction effect, a side in the tank and a side in the tank, drains quickly, vaccum the floor every other day, and then i've been filling with a huge bucket which is very inconvenient, but its a bare bottom tank so it doesn't cause any problems.

Look at this guy, it's a lemon colored AlbinoImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1418621142.693560.jpg
I have a video of a Heckle Cross which has strong shades of green but will take time to get my hands on
Will be getting a blood pigeon soon.

My lfs usually only had the basic discus, so when i saw what i believed to be a 'green discus' (the bright blue one i have), but you called a blue violet i believe? and the what i've now learned to be 'heckle', i needed to have them. They stepped their game up. Lfs gets in fish sunday nights so i'm going to check out the new stock tomorrow. Another lfs gets discus hans discus, but recently moved and has been cycling tanks for ever and still hasn't gotten them in. I think the max i'd go in my tank is 6. I'd love to get my hands on a blood pigeon

Don't know if you can find specialised discus suppliers where you are at. Local LFS may not carry very specialised discus unless they are specialised shops since the exotic discus can be expensive. A Mark Tan 4-5" can easily relieve you of $100-120. The only reason I say this is because, like all of us, you have limited space & hence you may want to ensure that you utilise it well. Otherwise later on you'll run into a discus you'll love & not have space.

In the uk they are called super red curipeua

Yes, that's the strain. In the same you have varieties.....this one seems to be a royal red or red turquoise. How much do one of these cost in the UK?.

Not totally sure but I would say the higher scale I'd say easily £100+ a much rarer strain

Ok, I have a guy quoting $750 for the one in the pic here. The Cuipeaua family is quite vast & finding the right breeder is the trick.

My lfs gets the discus in as assorted, so there are a bunch of different kinds. There was this beautiful one similar to that first photo just posted, but was too big compared to my fish

Wow, good going. I see one of them to be close to a San Merah. The orange one without bars seems very lean, may need to treat for internal infections.

Will keep a close eye, but i think its just the photos. The four bought today are very thick in size, and are around 4.5-5.5 inches, ? great deal we could not pass up. ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1418708695.604296.jpg Got my hands on a big tub of the 1mm nls as well!
