Do African Cichlids ever Lip-Lock for fun?

I have these two Red Zebras and they've literally been lip-locked for about 5 minutes straight.
I know they do this to fight and show dominance...

No one's dragging anyone about, there is no thrashing or quick movements.
They are just sitting still biting each other...

Is this just another crazy thing these amazing fish do?
