Do catfish eat dead fish?

Would my Synodontis lucipinnis (Dwarf Petricola) eat a dead fish?

I have seen in pet store aquariums that they will but they never have in my tank. I would assume if you leave the dead fish in long enough it will get eaten but I don't think that would be to healthy for the other fish

I believe they are scavengers as opposed to predators, so yes they will. However, I've seen many live fish pick at dead ones in the past.
