I have algae boom for the last several weeks. I have ottos to clear the brown algae totally, but there is still some green dust algae remain on the glass. The ottos have eaten some of it, but they don't like to eat it as much as eating brown algae. Someone said it might go away by itself. However, I don't want to wait too long. I am wondering whether a bristle-nose pleco eats the green dust algae or not. If it does, then I will add one.

he might for a short while but plecos are picky eaters. They like variety in their diets and tend get bored of the same thing over and over, unlike the oto's that will feast on diatoms day in and day out.
