Driftwood safe?

Hey! Is this driftwood safe for my tank. I know nothing about wood. It was wet when the photo was taken

I wish I could tell you, but that looks like a pretty big piece of wood you have there.
 
Submerge it in water an see if it sinks. Keep it submerged for a week or so and see if it releases tannis. Hero changing the water out till all tannis has leaked out then put in tank
