I have a major river close to where I live. Would it be alright to get driftwood from the river and put it in my tank? After boiling and soaking it for a little while.

I don't see why not. A lot I people do that. Take a nice day, nice walk by the river and ya get to pick out some really cool pieces.

Yeah! Have fun with it! Wish I had a river or something near by. Just tall buildings and a lot of noise.
