Eels?

So I want to get an eel for my tank specifically the tangynican leopard eel but they are really hard to get so I was thinking a tire track eel? But the PH difference any input?

It's easier to match the fish to your local Tap water than for you to change it for the eel. So if you have hard Tap water by all means the tang eel he'll love it. I had one years ago in with my cyprichromis he was awesome.
