extracting fry from "cyp"

I just got back from buying a group of 8 cyp leptosoma. One of the females is holding and ready to spit. The lfs guy thought she wouldn't make it to my house without spitting (2hr drive) but she made it with only one fry getting out.

If I let her spit in my tank, which has only the cyps and Neolamprologus Leleupi will the fry survive? My N Leleupi fry have been perfectly safe.

Would it be ok for me to separate my holding female until she spits?

I should have mentioned that I only have a small basket to put her in.

Hmm, wouldnt risk losing the mom. Not until your set up for fry

Well... I chased her for a second and she spit. It just so happend I was doing a water change and cleaning up a bit so decor was removed and this is what happened.
