My platy is getting fatter and fatter, but I've been feeding my fish consistently. I think he may be bloated. He always has those poop strings hanging off him. Would an Epsom salt dip help? I have tried to give him peas before and he does not eat them.

Fish graze in the wild. They get low amounts of protein, mostly moisture from worms and inverts, and vitamins from algae.
A fish food, any fish food, is gonna be high in protein and vitamins, so they only really need one feeding a day.
Its also good to mix in some greens with most fishes diet. Deshelled peas, spirulina, Algae wafers are all good, as is starving them one day a week (say on water change weekend)
