I got confused, is this thread about favourite plants or discus?? Hahaha

For the record my favourite plant at the moment is staurogyne repens. Im planning a rescape next year and currently its down as a carpet for the new tank

Great background plant for medium light tanks is Ambulia (Limnophilia sassiliflora). Good fine leaf structure for hiding fry and shy fish. Doesn't need as much light as Cabomba. Isn't as brittle and seems to attract less algae. Dependable grower & tolerates trimming down well. Beautiful middle green color. OS.

On that tank I have stock incandescent screw in fixture. I use u shaped mini CFLs.
6,500k ZooMed UltraSuns. 10watts x 2

I do add DIY Root Caps for my Crypts.
