Feeding schedule

I was wondering if anyone does it this way....i feed our cichlids once a day and only feed them six days a week. Do mix it up with flakes and pellats...thinking of see how they do if i added some live shrimp??? Thoughrs

I have juveniles and have read that several small meals are better than large ones. I do a combo of blood worms and pellets. I do the blood worms in the morning and pellets at night. I have 5 cichlids and a giant danios and just do a pinch of food each time. And sometimes if the aggression seems high mid day I will put a few pellets in and it seems to help break it up and calm it down some. In turn though - I do 20% weekly water change and it seems so filthy each time! So I can see the difference with multiple feedings.
