fiddlers?

I have a 65 and in my tank I had got 2 crabs about 2 months ago and about one month ago one died so I burried it now a month later up pops a fiddler crab missing his big claw. Do they shed skin or something I thought I got 2 males

Idk about the claw but I had fiddlers and they didn't last long. Little did I know it was because they have to have access to air. Is your tank set up that way?

Fiddler crabs need access to dry land, and they can't be kept in freshwater like most pet stores say, they actually need brackish conditions. The sg can be around 1.005 all the way up to 1.020.

Yeah I found all this out after I got them but my question is do they shed their shells
