Filter for 55 gallon

I'm setting up a 55 for a baby Oscar and I can't decide wHat filter....

Eheim Classic Canister Filter with Media - 2217

Or a sunsun 304b with matrix and purigen.

I would really need it to be around 100.... I'll be running it with the ac 30 for a few weeks

I'd reccomend running a canister rated for 100 gallons along with and ac110, maybe add a powerhead at the bottom to keep poo from settling.

The sunsun 304 is rated 525gph, is that good? Then can you explain the power head?

That should be ok running with an hob, the powerhead is a small fan that circulates water.

I have a aquaclear 110 on my community tank. Do you think a 29 gallon molly tank can use the aquaclear 30 for 2 weeks? I can swap the 110 onto the Oscar tank and then order the sun sun and another 110.

I'd do the api actually,.looks solid. No un needed bells and whistles, self priming is nice too, looks like more room for media as well. .

I'm loving purigen right now with my high tap nitrates. It's keeping my tanks at 20 ppm
