I am almost ready to set up my 120 gallon freshwater community tank. I am still undecided as to which canister filter I want to get. My tank will be in on the 27th so I have a couple of weeks to decide. I'm reading mixed reviews and was hoping some members here could offer their own experiences. So far, I like the Marineland c530. But the other obvious runners up would be a Fluval, a filstar (Rena) or an eheim. So, fire away please

Which fluval model? Some of the new ones are quite expensive.

I have a 125 gallon community tank, and I use an FX5. It is pretty much amazing. Great flow rate, and keeps the tank super clean. I have a few lake monster sized poop machines in there too! It was expensive, but worth it overall. It also uses a very little amount of power for how much it runs and its output.
