2 African butterfly fish
Some Acara if possible
Tiger barbs if possible

I haven't ever seen african butterflies in multiples, and maybe not the firemotuh. 40g isn't big enough for all those fish with the firemouth, it would probably become aggressive. Tiger barbs are big time nippers, so I don't think they would be a good choice with the butterfly. 2 keyholes, 3 syno petricola, BN Pleco, african butterfly, then maybe a smaller less aggressive cichlid like a festivum, or even a couple rams. The acara would probably be too aggressive as well.
