I am having a little trouble finding a shop that is willing to drill my tank. I spoke with one guy who said out of half the tanks he has done only about half turn out right. I dont like those odds. Is drill a tank that difficult ?

no, not if you find someone who can take their time and has experience... Have you contacted any LFS's to see if they can recommend anyone?

the guy could be covering his butt, by letting you know he might mess up...

yeah i am not using him. yeah I think that is what my next approach will be. Do you know how much it usually costs to get holes drilled?

One of my lfs wanted 25 dollars per hole and they wont guarantee that they will not break it. Then you need to add the overflow. For 70 dollars (25/hole and 20 for the overflow, minimum) and the chance of it breaking I spent the extra 75 for a new reef ready tank.
Just my opinion.
Good Luck,
Brian
