Finger coral

Does a finger coral shrink and then get bigger? Today mine was quite large and tonight it had gone small. Cheers

What I'm asking .... Is there something wrong with it? Or is this what they do?

Mine shrinks after lights out and in the morning with extend again

they will also shrink if it starting to shed
