Is fin rot contagious?

I would of thought so, particularly in poor conditions but not aggressively. I can remember it spreading but that could well have been a bad tank setup.

I wouldn't say fin rot is contagious in the same way the common cold would be. It's typically a symptom of injury or bad water quality. Try changing the water more often, and you'd be surprised what a fish can come back from.

I've seen it spread like wildfire through guppies that were in perfect water. So I'd say it is contagious in my experience.
