I started my fishless cycle today (got an API master kit which is wonderful!). I'm super pumped because my tank is finally set up, even if there are no fish in it! It's a 2.5 gal, I'll be putting a betta in it when I'm done cycling. 
I was wondering, how long do fishless cycles take? I have seeding material (I shoved the new carbon filter in with the one in my 10gal last week, then put it in the new tank today) so I'm hoping it won't take as long as people say it will without seeding material.
