first time with fry! got a question

My yellow lab just released her fry today (11 total) and this is a first for me so I want to make sure I am taking proper care of them. I have the mother in my 20g qt tank and want to keep her in there for a week before putting her back in my 55g so she can not stress, but my problem is I only have the 2 tanks and heard she will eat the fry if left in the same tank with them. So for right now I have the fry in a 1g betta bowl with a small heater and air stone but no filter. Would they be fine for a week without a filter and me just doing small water changes a day using the water from my 20g?

I would just put the mom back in the main tank and put the fry in the 20 gal. Also make sure your using a sponge filter or have a cover over the intake of a filtr or the fry will get sucked up into the filter.

Agreed^ don't want mom out the main tank for to long.
