Hi! I just took out maybe 1/3 of the water and have a bucket of water with Prime, waiting to pour in. Does it need conditioner, too? Or just the Prime? And when can I pour it in/how long does it have to sit to reach a safe temperature?

Prime takes care of all the water prep needs. It is supposed to be really fast but I usually let it sit 1/2 hour. I suggest 50% on the water change. The temperature should match the tank. As to the snail, have you tested your water? Any ammonia or nitrites?
