Fish burns

I have a goldfish that likes to hide by the heater that is installed in his tank, and im worried about him getting burned; so can fish get burned?

Yes, he can get burned. I purchased guards for my heaters. More importantly, why are you using a heater at all? Goldfish are subtropical and can survive in any pond which doesn't freeze solid.
