Fishless Cycle Water Parameters

Hi all,


I'm currently cycling a 10 gallon freshwater tank for an eventual betta.


I've been adding food (to breakdown into ammonia) and beneficial bacteria regularly and my current measurements are:

Ammonia: 0.25
Nitrite: 0.25
Nitrate: 40ppm


I did a water change yesterday (small one) because of the high nitrate levels and they haven't gone down. Should I do another change today?

Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates under 20 ppm
