I am fishless cycling my 20 gallon tank. I've done a lot of research on how to do it, and seemed to have followed all the directions, but things have stalled!! I have everything set up and running, the heater is turned up to 82 degrees, have a couple Amazon swords in the tank, and this is my cycling diary so far...
07/20: Dosed tank to 4ppm of NH3
07/21: Dosed tank to 4 ppm NH3
07/22: NH3=3ppm
Added more NH3
07/23: NH3=4
07/24: NH3=4
07/25: NH3=4
Added some crumbled up fish food
07/28: NH3=4
07/30: NH3=4
Added more fish food
08/03: NH3=4
I've also periodically checked NO2, but it's always been zero. I'm getting kind of frustrated. What should I do? Should I just keep waiting it out? Should I do a PWC to maybe get things going again? What do you guys think?
