Do flasher wrasses typically have a hard time adjusting in new tanks?

I just added two, but now I can only find one. And he is constantly hiding behind my filter, the refugium and in the live rock.

More pics.

How long have they been in the tank? Takes some time for them to settle in. Also IME wrasses are usually timid and hide a lot.

I have a mccoskers flasher wrasse and he is timid. Very athletic fish and quick! They can also dive under sand.

I've had them for about a week now. They were a pair until one jumped outta the tank and died. My domino damsel seems to be bullying them around being territorial.

That's to bad. They are definitely jumpers. You need a top of some sort. I used egg crate

I'd be getting rid of the damsel. They are know for that. Those flasher wrasses are not cheap!

I had to get rid of my damsels also. They were all over our new clowns and smal blue tang. Oh well. They found a good home.
