I'm cycling a 200 litre tank and just went to my Lfs for some media. When I was putting it into the filter I noticed my filter pads are going a kind of pinkish colour????? Is this normal? I really am so confused, getting a tank set up is so much more complex than I ever imagined

Sounds a little odd, I'll get the white filter pads go brownish with gunk but not pink. Nothing in your tank that is pink or red per chance?
