Fluval U3 advice?

Hi guys

I've had the fluval u3 for a few months now and I think the flow is too strong for my fish.

I've got a 12g (I know the filter is for bigger tanks but it was recommended to me) I use the top setting and have neons, bloodfin and bronze cories.

I don't use an air stone so I'm wary of changing my flow settings. Which setting should it be on for my tank?

You could use a bottle baffle to re direct flow.. Google it!

I've checked everywhere but can't seem to find how to attach it to the filter. It's an underwater filter, any ideas?
