Flying fox or Siamese Algae Eater?

Hey, I recently bought a fish that was advertised as a Flying fox but now I look I think it looks more like a Siamese Algae Eater. What do you think?

Looks like a SAE, most flying fox stripe runs all the way to there tail end

Grrr well that's annoying! I like the little guy though so will probably keep him!

I would say SAE. But you can't always see all the details in photos.

If it is a SAE what do they eat? I have tried Algae waiters, flakes, blood worms, cucumber, cichlid pellets and catfish pellets! I have yet to see it eat anything. There is some algae on the rocks but surely this will not be enough? There are no plants in this aquarium as my big Geophagus just destroys them as soon as I put any in!

They feed on algae, i would return him, they can get real aggressive when they get older, so i have read

Gah I don't think I could, I really like him! It should be ok as all the other fish are pretty boisterous and can hold their own!

SAE don't get aggressive it's CAE that do.

If a SAE gets aggressive it's normally towards their own kind, but I agree that doesn't look like a flying fox
