Just saw an ad on Craigslist for some frags but it said that he has bubble algae in his tank. If I got a couple is there anything I should do other than dipping them or should I just stay clear from them? Thanks for any input.

You could if you inspect it good enough. Any chance you could see it before you pay for it.

Is there anything other than obvious algae I should be looking for? I read that bubble algae releases spores. Thanks again

I have a 29 gal I use as a qt but the lights on it will not support coral. It's just a couple cfl bulbs.

Before introducing to your tank, I would acclimate it in a bucket of SW, then I would visually inspect it and using a soft toothbrush scrub off any bubble algae, just don't touch any coral flesh. Rinse the coral again in the bucket and place it in your tank or QT system.
