Took the cheap way and made the HOMEMADE sump/refugeum..I didnt leave a Skimmer tank as I dont need one..Refugeum is on the end where the Fluval inlet is currently my plants are out trying to feed them..was planning on using concrete block chunks on inlet side or some type of porus gravel to do the "prefilter" then overflow onto the 20PPI sponge and into the Floss where it comes out the bottom into the Fluval bio rings ceramic rings..thinking of adding bio balls..its just cycling now just set up today..will drain some refill as to wash out silicone acrylic and PVC resins if any did remain on the products..If this is successful I have a 20Gal waiting to be a sump/Refuge for my 55 gallon tank..
Added pics they are of poor quality because they were taken with my Motorola Defy phone which is the WORST phone cam I have ever seen..even free phones with 2MP camera can take better pics..Way to go Moto You blow now...
but they are of
Refuge tank 10 gal divided..

Fluval 205 Canister Petsmart had for 50.00 that i move water to main tank with..No powerhead use filter tank instead cheaper...Less vol but cheaper.

Tank I drilled yesterday with bulkheads installed ..Bought bit drilled myself.

and plumbing on both sides of glass..Used PVC elbow to control water level can go up or down depending on desired level...
Worked out OK at this point
