Fuzzy Cotton Swab Tips

I've found a couple of little things on my LR that look like the end of a cotton swab. They appear to be fuzzy with a little tiny hole in the center.
Anyone know?

It's hard to tell from the pics but from your description, I'd say definitely sponges. Harmless filter feeders. Nothing to worry about.
