Goldfish help

So recently I got a 15g tank w 2 goldfish (one about 5 inches one about 3) way too small for them, I put them in a 29g tank that didn't have anything else in it it was just cycling so they're good for now. I can give them to a friend who lives in my neighborhood and they have a goldfish pond so I think I want to give them to them so they can go in the pond but I feel guilty giving them away. Any advice ? And the tank they're in right now has a 400gph filter so 13x water turnover an hour with extra decor that had weighted bottom because it doesn't have gravel or anything in it.

Give them away they would be in a better place then in a small tank they will get big

They would be much happier in a pond. And they'll be able to grow to their full potential.
