Goldfish Owners* - Proper Diet ?*

Hello,

I'm a new goldfish owner of an XL chocolate oranda and a medium red fantail - I am learning more and more every day from the internet and all of you - thank you so much!!!

I am currently giving tetrafin goldfish flakes - I've read that shelled peas, broccoli, oranges, and romaine lettuce are good to introduce to them - is this true and how do i prepare them and how often do I give and how much?

Also, how often do I feed them and how much of the flakes? Every website says something different.

I also read to skip one days feeding a week to help with digestion - is this true?[
