my gsp suddenly (after having him for 3 weeks) started scratching on my decorations last night. He also seems to have white spots in his fins.I looked up the medications for ich and it seems that all of them were to hard on a scaleless fish(and could probably stress him out). however, I was looking through the treatments and found that ich is intolerant of salinity changes. Would be a good idea to increase my salinity 1ppm from 1.008 everyday, maybe until 1.105 until the ich subsides?
edit: he's in 20 gallon tank. Water conditions are perfect. And I do 20% water changes weekly.
