hi all,
the names adam, am 53 and come from Canterbury kent..
I have just got myself a tank of around 28 Malawi..
after a long time in the reptile/spider/insect hobby..
have just bought a new aps 2000ef filter, is annoying me a bit at the moment
the hum ect is getting on me wick a bit, have done the tilt to get rid of air but still doing it, I have another one (same model) and can hardly hear it..
anyone know if there is anything I have done wrong or should do, or does it settle down ect, any info would be of great use.. hope to get to know some of you and learn new things.........

Hi Adam welcome to the forum I'm not much help on the filter problem haven't used that brand, maybe check nothing is blocking the impeller?

I've heard people putting vaseline around the impeller and that can work.
Read up on this filter and a few people complaining about the noise. Nothing worse!

Hi, welcome.

I can only suggest to try pulling it apart, re-seating everything and if no improvement back to the shop. I dread using stuff that doesn't work from the get-go.
