Any idea how to rid my tank of hair algae? It's not out of control but there are a few plants that have it growing, anything that will eat it that is compatible in a south american biotope?

hair algae

best to cut off the infected parts quickly..while a few fish will eat some of i,,they won't get nearly enough and they usually go for the beginning growth not once it gets long..cutting out this cancer can save the rest of the plant.....i had had to almost cut my jungle val to the roots, but once i got rid of the excess nutrients in the water column (the most common cause of algae) my val took off great and no more hair..
