My Alk seems to be dropping! After my w/c yesterday! Now down to 8.3 from 8.7 Friday!

Took your advice mr. X and changed to a new pail of salt! Alk in the mix was 11.3! Maybe my all was just getting a little low?

It is possible, but will never know without an accurate test of it. In my system, I use the soft coral and polyps as a gauge of my alk. When it gets thrown way off, they will be closed up and upset before the LPS and SPS. This in turn is backed up by a test with my hanna meter usually.
