Well im putting a shopping cart together and need to know what basic supplys i need. Most importantly what kinda food to get

Just get a variaty of flake, pellet and frozen food and mix it up. The fish will love the different foods and you will get peace of mind.

Mix it up as in mix it all together or like mix it up and feed them diffrent stuff on diffrent days?

Feed them different stuff all at once... (the reason I say this is, in the ocean they have a large variety of food they can consume... as you feed watch to see what doesn't get eaten and eliminate that from your mix)

I would feed different stuff on different days. Unless you are only getting certain fish that eat certain things.

So get maybe 3 diffrent foods? One flake one pellet andmaybe one frozen and do one monday, other on wesday and last one on fridays?

That is what I do. No one or no fish would like to eat only lettuce everyday. And once a week soak your food in Selcon or some other Vitamin liquid,

I know i want a pair of clowns. Is there clowns that tend to be least aggressive. I know maroon and clarkies tend to be overly aggressive. And i know clowns are damsels which tend to be fairly agressive fish. And i know clowns are weird and can never tell what they will do. But which kind tend to be most easy going?

The standard O. Clowns are usually the most passive.

Edit: also there are some color variants of them that are all the same thing. There are black ocellaris clowns that are pretty sharp looking.

The black O. clown is pretty laid back most of the time. She is the larger of the two clowns that I have so she is the more aggressive of the two.
Here she is hosting a fake anemone.

Am i mistaken on this one? I know alot of people advice a 6 foot tank but i thought this one could go in a 75 gallon tank and the yellow down to a 55 but now live aquaria has them listed at 125 and 100 gallons

Thoughts?

+1 on the blue tang. Some people try to squeeze them into a 4 foot but it just doesn't work out well. When they get stressed (probably from being in a 4 foot with not enough room) they get sick really easily. Ich practically jumps from other tanks just to get to them.

Well thats why i ask. I swore liveaquaria had itmarked as a 75 before. Could be wrong thou.

You are right. At one time liveaquaria had them as 70 gallon minimum. They realized that this fish is really suseptible to ich and needs a larger tank. IMO two tangs would do good in a 75 and thats the yellow tang and a yellow eyed kole tang.

My LFS has a blue tang in a 75g, along with the biggest Clown I've ever seen. If it's smaller than 3", I'd be surpriced. The tang is about 5". It's been in there since my first visit in March.

Im guessing the tang is my only questin mark? The order looks right? I know the mandarin is a shy fish and should prolly go before the clown but really want a good pod population before i get it.

I think it can be done and be successful. When i first looked into it everyone here said 6 foot tank live aquaria said 75 gallon which is a 4 foot tank. And people on another forum were more mixed between the 2.

So i think it can be done in a 75 gallon but you have to be very good with your tank or you will be fighting ich. If you just buy it without knowing the tangs enviroment andits needs your asking to wipe out your tank. If you research it can be done. Lot of people do it very well. But more people i believe have tanks wipe out.

I wl have to think onit. It comes down to what i wanna do. but i do respect the opinions on these boards. Other wise i wouldnt be here. So would be foolish to just ignore the advice
