Heater left unplugged for 12 hours.

I left my African cichlid 55 gallon heater unplugged for 12 hours by mistake, water pretty cold. Is there anything I can do. My face are all about 3 - 4 inches long and over 1 year old. Please help !

Hello zip...

I've done this before. All you can do is plug the heater back in and allow the temperature in the tank to raise slowly back to normal. Slow changes in the water temperature typically don't bother the fish.
