I have been keeping lame fish tanks for years and finally got tired of the plastic plants and sick buddies. I accidentally stumbled upon an article about cycling a tank about a year ago, and I have never stopped reading.
I'm into freshwater exclusively (sorry marine folks, I have absolutely no clue about anything saltwater related). I recently started reading Walstad's book, love learning about water chemistry and mini ecosystems, and have started to dip my toe into the world of planted freshwater tanks!
I have a 10 gallon planted platy/snail tank (est. January 2021, re-est. July 2021) and a 5 gallon planted shrimp tank (est. October 2021). I'm super interested in chemistry that happens behind the scenes, and want to learn so much more!
