Aquarium Advice FINatic
Hello.
I thought I had posted to this forum before, but can't seem to find myself (no pun intended). Regardless, our tanks have changed quite a bit in the last year or so, getting rid of some small tanks, tearing down an indoor water garden (wife said it stank), and restocking other tanks. We live in the Central U.S. on an acreage with 4 dogs, our tanks and koi ponds, 4 million of my wife's flower beds and fruit orchards, miniature livestock, Golden Pheasants, and apiaries. Luckily, we have well water that tests pure, so I don't have to hassle with chemicals to reduce other chemicals when doing water changes. It comes from the tap rather hard and alkaline, with a PH of 8.4, which works great for most cichlids, but not so great for many other fish types. Looking forward to learning a lot from the forums.
