I am a grandmother who got into freshwater aquariums about 2 years ago. It started out with a goldfish my grandson won at a carnival. Goldie lived about a year and a friend suggested I get cichlids. My family bought me a 75 gal tank and I have had a large learning curve since with lots of ups and downs. It is nice to have a place that I can come and share the joys and sometimes frustrations of keeping fish. People who have never kept an aquarium just don't get how much fun fish can be!
