Hello everybody...wow my first post.
I came cross the site while surfing and its a awesome site, I'm now on here everyday.
I just recently built my own stand and cabinet for my new 4 ft tank and thought I would share it.
I previously own 2 ft tank, but I had to upgrade and I thought ill give building a frame and cabinet my self, to save some money and spend it on decor. Its my first time at building something like this, it took 2 weeks to build, mainly weekends and bits and pieces after work, while that was going on a had my Aquaone Aquais 1200 canister filter cycling.
I made the stand and cabinet in 5 sections so it cab be easily moved.
Its stand with door, 2 sides, lid and the back panel. I have used precut sizes of MDF that where stock at the local hardware store and work from that to build the cabinet to avoid getting the saw out and used building adhesive for all my joins. I used black spray cans to paint it, it didn't turn out how I wanted, but I just had to get it in my room.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Cabinet ready for painting.
4 weeks later painted and stocked.
My babies.
