Hello,

I have a 50L tank with some neon tetras, a couple platys, a betta and a bristlenose.

I have been struggling with filamentous algae (or cyanobacteria?), as you can see in the pictures. My cleaning crew is composed of 5 nerite snails and 15 shrimps, but they don't manage to keep up.

I try to keep the water at 26°C and a pH of 6.5-7.0 pH. The carbonate hardness is a bit high, 12°d KH (I have a water distiller coming on soon... I will be aiming to get the KH at 6°d). My Tetra GH test doesn't work, I think it's expired.

Any advice on how to improve my setup? Thanks in advance!

Peace,
A
