I am interested in raising lake Tanganzanika shell dwellers, but I don't know what to choose. I can only have ones that can grow to 4 inches. Got any suggestions?

Is a 10 gallon long the standard dimensions of a 10 gallon (20"x10"x10") or do you have something more unique?

My ocellatus were mean as snot in a 10 gal. Doesn't mean it can't work, just that this was my experience with them. Multifasciatus are a good choice, or maybe Brevis.

+1 for multies.

Or get a bigger tank. I still want to do a Emantiopus tank, so bad.

I really want to get a 100 and get a lake tanganika community tank going, but space limits me to a 10 gallon

I've never kept them so I'm not sure if it would work but lamprologus stappersii have always appealed to me.
