Help identifing

I bought him about 2 months ago supposed to be a Texas jewel cichlid he had had a growth spurt and doubled his size, changed colors, and has a hump forming. Any help would be appreciated.

The body shape and coloring look almost like Texas cichlid. Is there any way you can get a better pic of it?? Here's a pic of my female Texas if that helps any.

Thanks for the help. I tried getting a good pic but anytime I'm near the tank they go crazy even right after a feeding. Lol I have a lace catfish whose the only calm one of the bunch he spends all his time hanging out with my african grey parrot it's the funniest thing they just hang out staring at ea other through the glass!

Yeah he looks kinda like a red texas but im not familiar with them...the head looks a lil different.
