Not sure i can help with sand sliding though,i tried that at back.if mine ages ago when i 1st started and it moved ha ha lol my tank is ready for my Betta,was going to post a pic of my tank but it keeps crashing so will do one later

Yeah, it is very frustrating to put all this effort and end up with a plastic cave on my tank. I am going to return the fake rocks and work on getting some real ones.

As for the comment on adding shrimp to a betta tank, i don't think that's a good idea. I had to find out the hard way that they don't get along. My male betta made short work of some ghost shrimp. And my female betta killed my amano shrimp.
