Help sexing short bodied pink convicts aka jellybean

No they are NOT dyed. I have 5 in a 55 gallon. All about an inch. Bought 5 because I wanted to ensure a pairing. Been about 3 weeks. No orange bellies on any. How else can I tell? I can't be THIS unlucky! Please help

If they eventually develop a bump on their head then they are males. Sometimes they have to be up to 2 1/2 months old to sex them, i currently have convicts and my male is only 1 1/2 months old i got lucky that the store had helpful people! Good luck!
 
True that males get them, but females can too just not as big as a male. venting is the only sure way to sex them
 
i breed and sell mine so be prepared to have tons of babys and extra tanks for them . the males tend to be larger than the females in jellybeans.
