I have been having tough time creating a syphon for starters, checked all my connections all seems well... contrary to what I expected it began to syphon when held above my head and lost it when I went 24" below water level of the aquarium. Secondly it really seems to be lacking any force once I got the syphon going, and finally it just quit, motor housing hot to the touch and can't get it to restart as of 10 min later... still needs to cool? This is the first piece of equip in aqua hobby or work that makes me feel like total newb...I would appreciate any exp you all have had... I am so frustrated right now... DE powder is all over the tank and I don't know what to do if it is defective...I do but I mean right now... thak you so much in advance...
